AKC Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine Testing:
The AKC CGC is a great way to showcase the accomplishments you’ve achieved with your dog! Although the tasks are relatively easy for some dogs, it takes many dogs and owners a lot of time and dedication to achieve the CGC title.
We’re currently holding AKC CGC classes for dogs that have no behavior problems, and no history of aggression or reactivity. This is a 5 week class that will cover all items of the CGC test on the first 4 weeks, and testing on week 5.
Next class date: Saturday, November 19 at 330p.
For CGC testing, prep classes are not required, but are recommended for dogs that do not have previous formal training. Dogs must meet AKC requirements, be in good health, 6 months of age or older, and must pass all 10 test items. What are the test items? Click the button below:
For Community Canine Testing: your dog must have a passed CGC on file with the AKC. Dogs must be registered with the AKC, and meet all AKC requirements for the test. Dogs must pass all 10 test items.
